Welcome to the second report of this series. This time we will find if there is a heat problem at EyeTribe case design. As you know the frame of the case is a kind of metal, probably aluminum. Aluminum is one of the best metal for heat transferring in the electronic.<br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_123550.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />Room Temperature before start: 23.2 °C<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_123901.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />EyeTribe Case Frame Temperature at start: 20.7 °C<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_125921.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />EyeTribe Case Frame Temperature running after 6 minutes: 35.5 °C<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_130521.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />EyeTribe Case Frame Temperature running after 10 minutes: 38.7 °C<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_131005.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />EyeTribe Case Frame Temperature running after 15 minutes: 39.7 °C<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_132522.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />EyeTribe Case Frame Temperature running after 30 minutes: 41.1 °C<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_135527.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />EyeTribe Case Frame Temperature running after 1 hour: 41.6 °C <br /><br /><br /><img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i315/siderites/eyetribe/eyetribe%20hack%202/20150419_135752.jpg" alt="Image" /><br />Room Temperature at finish: 24.4 °C<br /><br />Room Temperature difference = 24.4 °C - 23.2 °C = +1.2 °C <br /><br /><span style="font-size: 85%; line-height: 116%;"><span style="font-weight: bold">Important Information Guide of the Eye Tribe Tracker Says;<br /></span>Operating The Eye Tribe Tracker outside these ranges may effect performance:<br />Operating tempererature: 32° to 113° F (0° to 45° C)<br />Storage temperature: 14° to 122° F (-10° to 50° C)<br /></span><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">Result</span>: EyeTribe has a well heat transfer design and stays stable around 41.6 °C (at the room temperature 24.4. °C) . It seems that there is no need to add an extra cooling subsystem. Good case heat transfer design, congratulations.<br /><br /><br />Next: EyeTribe Hacks 3 - Effective working distance in various light conditions including the sun (this may take time since we are in the spring and there is no heavy direct sunlight.
